The Venom Power Terra Hunter XT is a hybrid tire for SUVs and light trucks. Being a hybrid tire, they are just as comfortable on the road as it is off road, and is suitable across all weather conditions. 

This is a nice beefy tire that can pack a real punch. But perhaps the most exciting thing about these tires is the price. Being able to pick up a set at around $800 is incredibly good value that sets it apart from other similar hybrids.

Venom Power Terra Hunter XT Performance

The Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T’s are a very decent all terrain tire. The aggressive tread pattern isn’t just for looks and has been meticulously and deliberately designed in a staggered way to ensure good performance on different terrains.

It also gives these tires some real power that means you can feel comfortable when towing or carrying heavy loads. The result is a great blend of power and control that ensures a decent drive on roads, even in adverse weather conditions or when towing.

I will say that like other hybrid tires, we found the off road performance is good but not great. It’s not a true off road tire and it shows, but that’s not why you buy them.

One thing we will say is that these tires could be a bit better in snowy conditions. But on the whole, the performance is absolutely up to par and exceptional on roads and highways.

Venom Power Terra Hunter XT Longevity

As with all Venom Power products, the Venom Power Terra Hunter XT is built to last. The robust construction and materials used in the manufacture of this tire make it resistant to damage and wear, meaning you can get plenty of miles out of them. 

One downside we found was that the Terra Hunter XT’s do not like heat very much. So if you live in an area where the summers are particularly hot, these tires might not be ideal for you. But other than that, they should last a long time without any problems.

Finally, these tires come with a staggering 50,000 mile warranty which is absolutely incredible.

Venom Power Terra Hunter XT Noise

One thing that we noticed about the Venom Power Terra Hunter XT tires is that they can be quite noisy. This may not be an issue for some people, but it’s worth considering if you’re looking for a quiet ride.

While some noise can be expected at higher speeds, we’ve noticed on our tests that these tires can get loud at speeds over 30 mph, which really isn’t that impressive. So, it’s a definite black mark against them.

This is where the VENOM POWER TERRA HUNTER XT’s really shine. Being able to pick up a set of 33 by 12 and ½ for under $800 is outstanding value and is honestly the feature we’re most impressed by. Particularly when you compare these tires to others in its class, this price point becomes even more juicy. 

The reason they can get the price so low is because Venom Power is an off-brand manufacturer. There isn’t really any marketing from the company which helps bring down overall costs and ensure that they will always win on value.

The Venom Power Terra Hunter XT has low rolling resistance, which helps it move easily over different surfaces without using up too much energy. Additionally, they are designed to wear evenly, meaning you won’t have to replace them as often.

We’re not the only ones who love these tires. On Amazon, these tires boast a 4.6 out of 5 star rating which is a testament to how well these tires perform even when you disregard the price. The highlight for most reviewers is the value for money as well as the aggressive looking tread. 

However, we aren’t the only ones to have noticed that these tires can be a bit loud so that is something to keep in mind.
